At the closing ceremony of the 5th Moroccan International Higher Drama Academy, which was co-sponsored by the Moroccan Culture and Information Department and the Issil Theatre and Cultural Management Association, the drama of the Sichuan Conservatory of Music’s drama “The Love” In competition with many entries from 14 countries including France, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Chile and Egypt, they won the highest gold medal.

The Department of Drama has been established for more than ten years. The teaching insists on grasping the characteristics, attaching importance to the combination of classroom and extracurricular practice, and encouraging teachers and students to explore more art practice. With the strong support of the school, the International Cooperation and Exchange Office coordinated with many parties. The original works of the drama department went abroad for the first time, stood on the stage of international exchange to show the teaching strength of the school, and showed the artistic spark of the interweaving of traditional Chinese culture and modern culture. The leadership team of the drama department pays close attention to the whole process from beginning to end, giving the team a meticulous care and comprehensive support, and letting the team wholeheartedly commit to the creation to achieve gratifying results.

"The love" is an original small theater drama. The entire production team and performances are composed and completed by the teachers and students of the drama department. The story selects the "Meng Po" in ancient Chinese mythology, tells her past and present, and gives her new stories and lives. From the first 30 minutes of the play, to the complete repertoire of 70 minutes now, the creation lasted for two years. The screenwriter Liu Linlin used her spare time to review the materials, set the characters, the full story, and each line of every detail. They tried to figure out the script and finally finished the script successfully.

The director Ren Yuan teacher took the actor team to work overtime to rehearse, discuss the characters, comb the emotions, let the passion and tenderness coexist, and the performance penetrated the hearts of the people. Mr. Li Yimei, the design of the dance beauty, the character design Su Jing and Xiong Ruojun used the rest time to lead the dance team to study the script, design the scene and the character shape, and finally match the performance with a simple flowing space and simple style. The pre-match creative team also worried that the play is not easy to get the understanding of the international audience. Generally speaking, Chinese folk myths need more explanation and preparation, but "the love" is the master of the artistic aesthetics. The story of a "love" that resonates with the universal world is finally touched by the audience and highly recognized by the jury.
